The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), administered by the Colorado Department of Education’s Office of School Nutrition, ensures that children continue to receive meals during the summer when they do not have access to school lunch or breakfast.

Sponsors at the local level includes schools, local government agencies, camps and other nonprofit community organizations that have the ability to manage food service programs. Participating sponsors identify eligible sites in their communities who provide free meals to children 18 years and younger. Because of this collective community initiative, more than 1.4 million meals were served to children throughout Colorado last summer.

Become a sponsor site or state partner for the SFSP to help ensure all Colorado children have access to summer meals. Learn more by clicking here or by contacting Ashley Moen at
