Colorado’s Child Care Contribution Tax Credit brings an estimated $60 million each year to child care providers across the state, helping them keep their doors open and helping families access care. Coloradans can receive tax credits for donations to child care programs, provider training, and resource and referral systems. Reauthorizing Colorado’s Child Care Contribution Tax Credit in 2023 will ensure that Colorado continues to provide essential support to child care providers and Colorado families in the years to come.

The Children’s Campaign participates in a coalition of advocates working to reauthorize the tax credit during the 2023 legislative session. Advocates have prepared a survey to collect informal data and compelling stories to support the reauthorization of the tax credit. The survey link is available here. Please share the survey widely with your networks.

The coalition is hoping to collect responses by Dec. 9. Reach out to Melissa Mares (melissa@coloradokids.org) or Riley Kitts (riley@coloradokids.org) to get involved in work to reauthorize the credit.
