Summer Kick-Off in Aurora takes place this Saturday

This Saturday, June 5, Aurora residents can visit Overland Park High School (12400 E. Jewell Ave. in Aurora) for a Summer Kick Off beginning at 10 a.m. The free event will distribute books, food, and other resources, including nearly 30,000 diapers, 50,000 pounds of pet supplies, and 1,000 summer activity packs to families in attendance. All households are eligible regardless of income, status, or size.  

The kick-off is hosted by the Aurora Police Department in partnership with Food Bank of the Rockies, local organizations, and several area school districts. The event will last until all the food has been distributed. For more information, contact APDCommunity@auroragov.org or 303.739.7281
