Mark your calendar for Monday, Dec. 10 for the Early Childhood Advocacy Training presented by Child Care Works, the Prenatal, Infant, Toddler Coalition, Early Childhood Council Leadership Alliance, Clayton Early Learning, and the Colorado Children’s Campaign.

The Early Childhood Advocacy Training will help build your understanding and skills to advance policies that impact expecting families, pregnant people, infants, and toddlers. Topics covered at the training will include advocacy versus lobbying, the legislative process, a recap of the 2018 election and its impacts, tips for engaging elected officials, effective storytelling, and action planning for the 2019 legislative session.

Thanks to funding from Think Babies, the Early Childhood Advocacy Training is free of charge, with financial support available to cover mileage and lodging for those traveling from outside the Denver metro area. Keep an eye out for a registration link in future editions of KidsFlash and contact Jacy Montoya Price at jacy@coloradokids.org with any questions.

About Children's Campaign

The Colorado Children’s Campaign is a nonprofit, nonpartisan advocacy organization committed since 1985 to realizing every chance for every child in Colorado. We advocate for the development and implementation of data-driven public policies that improve child wellbeing in health, education and early childhood. We do this by providing Coloradans with trusted data and research on child wellbeing and organizing an extensive state-wide network of dedicated child advocates.
