Colorado Children's Campaign staffI’m excited to announce several changes in titles, roles and duties at the Children’s Campaign as we head into an exciting election year. All our staff work tirelessly on behalf of Colorado kids and it is an honor to work with this team each day. It’s also a pleasure to recognize them when they elevate our work and take on new challenges.

Research: Our nationally recognized research work has been anchored by Sarah Hughes for nearly six years. She joined the Children’s Campaign first as an intern and quickly became a Research Analyst. As Research Director she has continued the Children’s Campaign’s strong tradition of providing high-quality research and continues to be a leader in the organization and contribute to our strategic direction. I’m thrilled to promote her to Vice President, Research Initiatives.

Policy: Our early childhood initiatives have been led by Bill Jaeger, for nearly five years. He’ll continue that role, and bring his strategic thinking and leadership to new special projects and initiatives, including our to-be-unveiled 2018 Campaign for Kids. His new title is Vice President of Early Childhood and Policy Initiatives to reflect the addition of new projects.

Advocacy: Our rock-star Advocacy Team has grown in many ways in the past few years and has several changes to titles and roles to reflect that strength. If you’ve been to any of our events in recent years, you’ve been in the care of Angelique Smith, who envisions and executes our events with style and passion. Her new title is Strategic Events Coordinator. Jacy Montoya Price, who has pushed our advocacy trainings and events to ever higher levels year after year, has been named Advocacy Manager. Beginning this month, she’s leading our efforts to build a core of advocates dedicated to improving life for pregnant families, babies and toddlers. Rob Sherow, our longest continuously serving staff member, rises to Design Manager to reflect his deep skill and knowledge of our work. That team is led by Tara Manthey, who joined the Children’s Campaign nearly six years ago as Communications Director, then took on leadership of outreach efforts as Communications and Outreach Director. She has been promoted to Vice President of Advocacy and Communications in recognition of her leadership and strategic direction of our advocacy strategies.

Please join me in congratulating these “Campaigners,” as we call ourselves, the next time you see them!
