Save the Date 2018 Speak Up for KidsJoin us, Clayton Early Learning, Children’s Hospital Colorado, and new and emerging advocates from across Colorado for the annual Speak Up for Kids Day at the Capitol on Wednesday March 14, 2018. During this day-long event you will: hear from the experts about early childhood development and child health issues under consideration by the Colorado General Assembly; learn why your voice is important to the policy debate and how you can influence lawmakers; and experience first-hand a lobbying visit with your state legislators, supported by an experienced advocacy coach. If you have attended Speak Up for Kids in the past, consider signing up to be an advocacy coach (or advocacy coach in training) to share your expertise and guide new advocates through their lobby visits. Registration for both participants and advocacy coaches for Speak Up for Kids opens on February 1. Stay tuned for updates in future editions of KidsFlash. Contact Jacy Montoya Price at jacy@coloradokids.org or 303-620-4547 with questions or for additional information.

About Children's Campaign

The Colorado Children’s Campaign is a nonprofit, nonpartisan advocacy organization committed since 1985 to realizing every chance for every child in Colorado. We advocate for the development and implementation of data-driven public policies that improve child wellbeing in health, education and early childhood. We do this by providing Coloradans with trusted data and research on child wellbeing and organizing an extensive state-wide network of dedicated child advocates.
