Launched this Week: K-3 Literacy Lessons on Rocky Mountain PBS!
In response to school closures across Colorado Rocky Mountain Public Media, in partnership with the Office of the Governor, the Colorado Department of Education and the Colorado Education Initiative, will provide K-3 learners, their families and caregivers with direct-to-home remote literacy learning via broadcast and online.RMPBS will broadcast Colorado Classroom: Read with Me at Home as a free, in-home early reading resource Monday through Friday from 8am to 10am. Lessons will also be available for free streaming online at www.rmpbs.org/ColoradoClassroom and on the PBS Video App on smart devices (just search “Colorado Classroom” in the app).
Teacher-guided lessons will be broadcast in English with Spanish closed captioning. Accompanying lesson plans and student work packets will be posted here. These printed materials will also be shipped without charge to families without internet access, on request, by calling 800-274-6666 or by completing this form.
