The Children’s Campaign outreach team this week kicked off our summer tour of Colorado communities with stops in Cortez, Durango and Telluride. Each summer and fall we visit communities throughout the state to present the latest data from KIDS COUNT in Colorado! and hear from advocates about the well-being of kids in all corners of Colorado. A growing number of the communities are in the It’s About Kids network, our on-the-ground partners who work with us to ensure children’s issues across Colorado are being heard.

This week our team included Liz Houston, It’s About Kids Network Coordinator; Sarah Hughes, Research Director; and Dan O’Connell, Government Affairs Director. We have an exciting schedule of presentations already planned for the remainder of the summer and fall, with more events to be announced shortly. See where we’re headed and contact Liz at liz@coloradokids.org or 303.620.4532 if you’d like to attend or learn more.
