Last week, Raise Colorado co-conveners Christina Walker from Clayton Early Learning and Jacy Montoya Price from the Children’s Campaign shared more about the work of the coalition on KGNU Community Radio. Interviewed by Miriam Schiff on her program “Womyn Air,” Christina and Jacy highlighted the importance of paid family and medical leave and access to quality, affordable, culturally relevant child care options for the health and wellbeing of Colorado babies and their families. Their conversation included acknowledgement of the historical and structural barriers that impact gender roles at home and in society and a preview of issues that may be considered during the 2020 legislative session.
