This Veteran’s Day we are honored to celebrate Samantha Espinoza, policy analyst at the Children’s Campaign and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. She served as a Personnel Specialist on board the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier for 4 years, including a 7-month deployment to the Persian Gulf. Sam says:

“Among some of my prized memories are the times I played soccer overseas, trained to fight fires, and the camaraderie I shared with my crew. I have since used my military benefits to complete my master’s degree in social work and live healthily. I believe the military gave me the opportunity to drastically improve my life, for which I am truly grateful.”

Please join us in saluting and supporting Sam and her fellow veterans!
