Colorado would make significant investments in Colorado kids under the spending blueprint proposed by Gov. John Hickenlooper this week. We applaud the governor’s proposal to increase per-pupil spending in K-12 education, invest more resources in children’s behavioral health, and better support our early childhood educators and rural K-12 teachers. These targeted investments are policy choices that remove barriers to health and happiness for Colorado children and families. We’ll have more details about specific spending recommendations in future editions of KidsFlash.
