In the 2021-2022 school year, 3.5% of Colorado’s public PK-12 students (31,382 kids) were enrolled in online education programs. Online pupil enrollment in Colorado was slowly rising prior to the pandemic and increased significantly by nearly 9,600 kids in school year 2020-21. The data from 2021-22 represent a second school year of heightened online student enrollment.
