Between 2013 and 2017, just over half of Colorado’s 3- and 4-year-olds (about 51 percent) were enrolled in any type of preschool program. Archuleta County saw only 20 percent of 3- and 4-year-olds enrolled in school, while places like San Miguel County had over 70 percent of children in this age group attending preschool.
