In the 2019-2020 school year, nearly all of Colorado’s kindergartners (97 percent) were enrolled in full-day programs, an increase from 79 percent of kindergartners the year before. Research demonstrates that kindergartners in full-day programs make more academic progress and are better prepared for first grade compared to those in half-day programs.
