Between 2012 and 2016, only 51 percent of Colorado’s 3- and 4-year-olds were enrolled in any type of preschool program. Preschool enrollment ranged from 16 percent of 3- and 4-year-olds in Dolores County to 83 percent and 100 percent of children in this age group in Sedgwick and Hinsdale counties, respectively.
