In 2019, the median income earned by Colorado households was $77,104, rising for the ninth consecutive year. Economic prosperity, however, continues to vary significantly across the state. In 2019, Douglas County residents saw a median household income of $123,697, more than three times the median household income experienced by Coloradans in Costilla County, which was $34,731. Understanding disparities in income and poverty across the state is especially important as we look ahead to addressing the economic impacts and recovery from the disruptions of COVID-19.
