In 2017, Colorado’s unemployment rate fell to 2.8 percent, making it the fifth lowest unemployment rate in the country. The state’s unemployment rate has fallen each year from a high of 8.9 percent in 2010, and 2017 marked the first year since 2000 in which the unemployment rate dropped below 3 percent.
