In 2018, 81 percent of all 2-year-olds in Colorado were fully immunized, receiving the combined 6-vaccine series. Colorado’s 2018 estimate represents a significant increase in vaccine coverage compared to 2017 (when only 72 percent of the state’s 2-year-olds were fully immunized) and surpasses the 2018 national average of 75 percent. Still, nearly 1 in 5 of our 2-year-olds (19 percent) are not fully protected from preventable diseases like polio, mumps, measles and whooping cough.
