In the fall of 2017, the number of students enrolled in Colorado’s public schools in grades PK through 12 increased slightly to 910,280 students from 905,019 students in 2016. Despite a small dip in enrollment in 2014, pupil enrollment in state public schools has increased steadily over the last two decades: the number of children attending Colorado public schools today has grown by nearly 26 percent since 2000, when total enrollment was 724,508.
