In 2020, the median household income in Colorado rose slightly to $77,688, rising for the tenth consecutive year. Economic prosperity, however, continues to vary significantly across the state. In 2020, Douglas County saw a median household income of $122,290, more than three times the median household income seen in Costilla County, which was $35,639. Understanding disparities in income and poverty across the state is especially important as we look ahead to addressing the economic impacts and recovery from the disruptions of COVID-19.
