Ensure youth have access to meals this summer
The Summer Food Service program (SFSP) provides an opportunity to continue offering nutritious meals at no cost to families during the summer when youth no longer have access to school meals. This program is particularly critical this year with more than 50 percent of families struggling to put food on the table, and a fifth of Colorado’s children not getting adequate nutrition because of a lack of money for food (according to a recent poll by Hunger Free Colorado). It is more important than ever to invest in Colorado’s youth by ensuring access to nutritious, no-cost meals across the state. To help ensure summer meals are available in your community, become a program sponsor or continue sponsorship past this school year.
