On Sept. 23, the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) hosted the Reimagine Education Symposium. The event focused on improving school climate through the development of multi-tiered systems of support for students through social emotional learning, self-care, equity, cultural responsiveness, and trauma-informed practices.

While the symposium may be over, there are still opportunities to learn about school climate in Colorado.

  • Closing out the CDE’s Distinguished Speaker Fall Series, join Dr. Jamie Valenzuela-Mumau on Oct. 13 from 3-4:30 p.m. (MT) for “Impactful Intervention: Meeting Students Where They Are & Getting Them to Mastery.” Read more about the session and register here.
  • Join the CDE for the beginning of their 3-part virtual School Climate Improvement Training Series on Oct. 20 from 3-5 p.m. Each session will build on the previous one. Parts two and three will take place on Dec. 1 and Jan. 12, respectively. Register here.

Find additional school climate resources from the CDE here, and keep an eye on the CDE’s calendar for more events.
