The passage of House Bill 1304 means that Colorado will get a new state department of early childhood. Moving forward, the Early Childhood Leadership Commission (ECLC) has been tasked with approving and guiding a plan that will transition programs under the new state agency (effective July 1, 2022). In order to ensure this process represents the diverse voices and perspectives across our state, the ECLC will engage a variety of stakeholders throughout the transition.  If you are interested in partaking in the Transition Advisory group or one of its subgroups, we ask that you complete an online form in either English or Spanish to share the perspective and ideas you would bring to this process. All meetings will be open to the public. For more information, contact ECLC Director Kristina Heyl at
