Capitol Updates: With three days left, all our priorities are complete!

There are only a few short days left in the 2023 legislative session! Our 120-day countdown comes to an end on Monday, and the Children’s Campaign is already celebrating because the priority policies we set out to complete are all done! That’s right – our last priority bill for this session received its final vote earlier today. Along with other dedicated advocates, community partners, and legislators, we have been able to accomplish so much for Colorado kids and families since January. We have passed health insurance expansions, secured more money to support child care, boosted investments in public education, protected access to reproductive health care, secured coverage for preventive health services, and created more safeguards for families going through the eviction process. That is A LOT to be proud of!

There is still much more work to be done, and the Children’s Campaign is dedicated to continuing to push Colorado forward for the benefit of our kids and families. Thank you all for the partnership throughout this legislative session – we are grateful for each and every one of you!

Our dedicated policy and advocacy team tracks hundreds of bills that impact Colorado kids and families every legislative session. To view the bills we are tracking so far in this legislative session, click here.
