This bill would create a new grant program in the Department of Education (CDE) to allow public schools and districts to supply their students with menstrual hygiene products at no cost.

The Colorado Children’s Campaign supports this bill. If passed, SB21-255 would remove economic barriers for students accessing necessary health products at school, help address social stigma around menstrual hygiene and work to ensure period products are available to students in middle, junior and high school regardless of gender identity.
