HB 16-1336 (Hamner & Rankin/Donovan) Study for the Creation of a Single Geographic Rating Area for Health Insurers to Use When Establishing Rates for Individual Health Insurance Plans

HB 16-1336 would direct the Commissioner of Insurance to study the impacts and viability of creating a single geographic rating area, consisting of the entire state, for purposes of determining premium rates for individual health benefit plans.

HB 16-1291 (Duran/Hill) Modern Technology Education in Public Schools

HB 16-1291 directs the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) to update the academic standards to include technology skills and creates a voluntary resource bank that schools and districts can use to expand school programming for computer science.

HB 16-1289 (Duran/Garcia) Incentives to Complete Career Development Courses

HB 16-1289 creates a pilot program to increase access to career development courses. It would award $1,000 to school districts for each high school student who earns an industry certification tied to an in-demand job, finishes a workplace training program, or completes an AP Computer Science course.

HB 16-1227 (Kagan & DelGrosso/Hill & Crowder) Exemptions from Child Support Enforcement Requirements As A Condition of Receiving Child Care Assistance

Current law requires nearly all applicants for child care assistance to engage child support enforcement prior to receiving a subsidy. HB 16-1227 would eliminate that condition for teen parents and domestic violence survivors.

HB 16-1050 (Pettersen/Merrifield) Establishing a Task Force to Assist Parents Pursuing Postsecondary Education in Addressing Child Care Needs

HB 16-1421 (Hullinghorst) Allocate Additional 2016-17 General Fund Revenues

HB 16-1421 is contingent upon the passage of HB 16-1420 (Hospital Provider Fee), and would establish guardrails for the allocation of state revenue that would be made available if the Hospital Provider Fee is established as an enterprise fund and removed from the revenue limitation calculation.
