HB 16-1446 (Hamner/Marble) K-3 English Learner Reading Assessment Language

HB 16-1446 would specify that, if a student enrolled in kindergarten or grades 1 through 3 is an English language learner and his or her native language is Spanish, the student’s school district or charter school will decide whether the student takes the reading assessments in English or Spanish.
