This bill requires the Department of Human Services and the Department of Education to enter into an interagency agreement to study the administration of Early Intervention evaluations performed under Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) for children birth through age two. The departments are required to enter into the agreement by October 1 and to report the results of the study performed pursuant to the agreement to the Joint Budget Committee by June 30, 2019.

The Children’s Campaign supports this bill as a mechanism to identify ways to streamline the process of Early Intervention evaluations to ensure that our youngest children are connected to the services they need to support their healthy development.
