This bill updates the newborn screening program to provide for more timely completion of newborn screenings, and creates a fund for newborn hearing screenings to cover the cost of the program.

The Children’s Campaign supports this bill, as timely and effective newborn screening is critical to children’s healthy development, and helps ensure that babies get off to a strong start in the earliest days of life.
