ALERT: Speak up for child care in Colorado! Ask your Rep to renew Child Care Contribution Tax Credit

Date Posted: April 12th, 2018

Colorado kids need your voice!

House Bill 18-1004 would continue Colorado’s innovative Child Care Contribution Tax Credit for another five years (see fact sheet and supporters here).

Child care and youth programs help ensure children have quality, enriching experiences while at the same time allowing parents to work. Investing in the network of providers that support children outside of school time means supporting two generations (parent and child) at once.

For every job created in the Colorado early care and education sector, 1.5 jobs are created in the state’s economy and for every dollar spent in the Colorado early care and education sector $2.25 is contributed to the state’s economy.

The CCTC is one of the main ways Colorado can address the availability of child care. We need to encourage providers to offer these services in communities throughout our state and, for 50 cents on the dollar, we get a great return on this investment in promoting access to child care.

Thank you for speaking up!
