Lauren Hecht

Title: Digital Communications and Policy Associate

Lauren Hecht serves as the Digital Communications and Policy Associate for the Colorado Children’s Campaign. She is responsible for providing strategic support to the organization’s digital and print communications, social media campaigns, community outreach, and engagement efforts. She is a co-editor of our newsletters, including KidsFlash, and assists in the drafting, editing, and publishing of a variety of the organization’s writing across the advocacy, policy, and development teams. Lauren joined the Children’s Campaign in the summer of 2021 as our Communications and Advocacy Fellow through Colorado College’s Public Interest Fellowship Program. In her current role, Lauren leads the Children’s Campaign’s social media strategy and content creation across several platforms, manages our website’s content, and provides strategic support to our policy team and coalition efforts during the legislative session.

Lauren graduated from Colorado College in May of 2021 with a B.A. in Political Science and minors in Latin American Studies and Art Studio. Before moving to Denver, she previously assisted the border security and migration programs of the Washington Office on Latin America, the office of U.S. Senator Mark Warner, and the Annual and Mutual Aid funds of her college.
