Angelique Smith

Title: Development Director
Phone: 303-839-1580

Angelique was born and raised in the Denver Metro area and knows first-hand the potential Colorado has for being an amazing place to be a kid. As Development Director for the Colorado Children’s Campaign, Angelique leads the organization in development and implementation of the strategic plan to raise vital funds to advance research based, equity centered, policy advances for kids and families. She is driven by pairing foundations, corporations and individuals with their passion for systemic and structural change that will positively impact the lives of Colorado kids and families now and in the future. She also enjoys building lasting relationships with dynamic and dedicated supporters at the same time. During her time with the Children’s Campaign she has used her lived experience, law and policy interest and professional experience to help advance coalition work and support policy formulation while engaging and informing advocates, legislators and communities across the state. Prior to joining the Colorado Children’s Campaign, her non-profit career path has included stops along the way that include Denver Rescue Mission, World Affairs Council of Philadelphia, Red Cross and Nurse Family Partnership (to name a few), and past and current board service.

Angelique is a lover of the arts in all forms, domestic and international travel, board and video games, great cuisine and company. Most of all, she enjoys being a mom and spending quality time exploring the world and finding new adventures that expand her son’s knowledge and appreciation of the richness of culture and people around him.
