A Letter from President and CEO Heather Tritten
Dear friends of the Colorado Children’s Campaign,
I am so pleased to be writing to you as President and CEO of the Colorado Children’s Campaign!
The Colorado Children’s Campaign’s charge is to advocate for every chance for every child. It is a powerful vision: A Colorado where every young person has what they need to learn, grow, and thrive.
This vision inspires me, as I hope it inspires you. I have spent my career working to end poverty and improve kids’ lives by strengthening supports for families; improving access to and the quality of early childhood services and education; advancing early literacy; and improving access to safe, affordable housing.
I believe that good, equitable public policy leads to healthy children, strong families, and thriving communities. And I believe the Colorado Children’s Campaign plays a special role in solving challenges that prevent children from reaching their full potential.
This role is more urgent now than ever. As Colorado grows and changes, we must keep focused on supporting the health, education, and economic prosperity of all kids and families. And we must make sure the decisions that affect our kids are informed by evidence and by the real experiences of everyday Coloradans.
This organization has a record of turning powerful visions into powerful realities – whether it’s stronger health coverage for kids and families, healthy school meals for all schoolkids, universal preschool, or full days of kindergarten. As President and CEO, I am excited to lead our team as we work with our community to do what is needed now, in 2023, to address the real issues facing our young people.
We can’t do what we do without you, so please reach out to me to talk about what matters most to you and the young people in your community.
Onward
Heather Tritten
