The Colorado primary elections are on June 28. On Monday, voters began receiving their ballots in the mail. While voting begins June 20, it is not too late to register to vote in this important election. Colorado is a same-day voter registration state, meaning voters have until 7 p.m. on June 28 to register. Visit www.govotecolorado.com to register.

Registered Democrats, Republicans, or unaffiliated party members are eligible to vote in the upcoming election. However, unaffiliated voters can only cast either a Democratic or Republican ballot, not both. Submitting both will result in an invalid ballot. Voters have until June 13 to change their party affiliation. If you have not yet received your ballot, you may request another one from your county clerk’s office.

To ensure your ballot is counted, mail it back to your county clerk by June 21. Ballots can also be delivered to one of many drop boxes located in your county. Your county clerk’s office has locations of these drop boxes. In addition, in-person voting centers will open by June 20 at the latest.
