- The Clayton Foundation
The Clayton Foundation is dramatically improving early childhood education across Colorado and jumpstarting the professional development of teachers and administrators. This is accomplished with both direct services through Clayton Family Futures and by training early childhood professionals at the Clayton Early Childhood Resource Institute.
- Colorado Division of Child Care
The Division of Child Care is responsible for the licensing and monitoring of child care facilities; managing the child care assistance program (CCCAP) for eligible families; administering child care grants and quality initiatives, and serving as the lead in implementing federal child care programs.
- Colorado Preschool Program
State program funded to provide at-risk children the opportunity to participate in a preschool program. Children participating in CPP are served throughout Colorado in a mixed delivery system, which includes Head Start programs, private for-profit programs, nonprofit programs, charter schools, and other programs within public schools.
- Office of Professional Development
Statewide entity operated by Smart Start Colorado responsible for improving the quality of services, supports and education for young children and their families by enhancing the knowledge, skills and professional advancement of early childhood professionals.
- Qualistar
Qualistar Early Learning is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving child development and age-appropriate learning experiences for all children by collaboratively creating statewide early childhood system. Qualistar also developed a rating system known as the "Qualistar Rating" that measures quality in licensed early learning programs, both home and center-based that serve children birth to kindergarten.
- Smart Start Colorado
Partnership among state-level early childhood stakeholders focused on connecting children birth to age 8 and families to quality services in education, health, mental health, and family support.
